Volunteering Projects

During the summer vacations of 2017 and 2018 I enrolled a special program called "Juntos pela Floresta, Todos contra o Fogo" (Together for forest, All against the fire). This project started in 2006 and as the ambition to unite young minds from 16 to 25 years-old having the ambition to reduce the wildfire risk, ocurrence and improve the mitigation of those risks by sensitizing the local populations.

In the 2019 summer vacations, before the beginning of Master degree, I've questioned the project manager to start an intership to learn how can I could use GIS solutions. The intership proposal was to create the first Municipal Forestry cadastre using QGIS. This solution was replaced by the national program called BUPI.
